Two arrested after traffic stop leads to drug seizure in Dexter

DEXTER, Mo., (KBSI) — Two Poplar Bluff women have been charged following a traffic stop that led to the seizure of drugs and paraphernalia, according to Dexter police.

Authorities said the stop occurred April 21 on Missouri Highway AD near U.S. Business 60.

During the investigation, officers recovered about 69.88 grams of suspected methamphetamine, OxyContin, alprazolam, approximately 2.25 pounds of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, including pipes and digital scales.

Sharon M. Foster, 65, and Tracy S. Boyd, 56, were arrested and taken to the Dexter Police Department.

Prosecutors charged both women April 22 with first-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance, along with additional drug-related offenses. Foster also faces traffic-related charges.

Both remain held at the Stoddard County Jail on no-bond warrants.

Authorities said all charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
