Sunny, Pleasant end to the Weekend
A quiet end to the weekend in the Heartland as a light northerly wind will give us a refreshing break from the summertime humidity. Highs will be just short of average in the upper 80s.
A quiet run of StormCast will be more than welcome after a busy week of storm chances in the viewing area.
Temperatures tonight will drop to the middle and upper 60s, under mostly clear skies through the Heartland.
A few areas may see a foggy start to the day, including Cape Girardeau. Otherwise, we will see a seasonal start to our Sunday.
Temperatures will come in just under our average mark for late August on Sunday afternoon. Highs will range from the middle and upper 80s.

Monday will be a touch cooler across the viewing area, with afternoon temperatures forecast in the lower to middle 80s.
Temperatures slowly return to our average marks for late August by the end of the upcoming work week. A few scattered chances for showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast, though severe potential remains low.
