2 Paducah men face drug charges in separate investigations
PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Two Paducah men face drug charges after two different search warrants were executed on Monday.
Cameron L. McElmurry, 25, of Paducah faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl derivatives), possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree (drug unspecified), drug paraphernalia (buy/possess) and resisting arrest.
Bradley A. Clabough, 38, of Paducah faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (>or= 2 GMS Methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (drug unspecified), possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree (drug unspecified), possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia (buy/possess).
Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation on Feb. 6 into Cameron McElmurry trafficking counterfeit pills containing Fentanyl. Detectives conducted a controlled purchase of the counterfeit pills containing Fentanyl from Cameron McElmurry, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives then executed a search warrant at McElmurry’s home located on Arkansas Street in the Lone Oak area of McCracken County just before 6 p.m. Detectives found McElmurry inside the home. When deputies encountered McElmurry inside the home, he attempted to flee and then resisted arrest, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives also found marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia, and Xanax inside the home, according to the sheriff’s office.
McElmurry was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
At the time of his arrest, McElmurry was on felony diversion for possession of a dontrolled substance 1st degree (opiates) out of Graves County.
In a separate investigation on Feb. 6, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into allegations that illegal drug activity was taking place at an apartment located at 1220 Walter Jetton Boulevard in Paducah. Just before 7 p.m., detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at the apartment.
Detectives found Bradley A. Clabough, 38, of Paducah along with approximately 31.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine, counterfeit pills suspected to contain Fentanyl, generic Xanax pills, and other items of drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office.
Clabough was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail.
