3 face charges after shots fired, property damage in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – Three men faces charges after Carbondale police responded to a report of shots fired on Feb. 18.

Police officers responded to the 400 block of East College Street in reference to a report of shot fired on 8:42 a.m. on Friday.

Officers made contact with Marlin J. Brown, 43, of Carbondale, who was leaving the area. Police arrested Brown for aggravated unlawful use of weapons and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Officers identified the two other suspects; Keon L. Foulks, 18, of Carbondale, and Keavonte T. Nesby, 20, of DeSoto. Foulks and Nesby were arrested on aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon charges.

Foulks, Nesby and Brown were taken to the Jackson County jail.

No injuries were reported and but damage to property was discovered. The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the police department at (618) 549-2121 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-2677.
