Another positive case of COVID-19 in Hamilton Co., IL

MCLEANSBORO, Ill. (KBSI) – There has been one additional positive case of COVID-19 in Hamilton County.

The Hamilton County Health Department reported the additional case is a man in his 60s in Oct. 6.

There have been 1,293 lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Hamilton County. Of those cases, 23 people have died, 1,265 have recovered and five people are currently isolating at home.

The Hamilton County Health Department investigates each case to ensure isolation of the positive patient. Close contacts who have had exposure to the positive patient are placed on quarantine for a minimum of 10 days. This allows symptoms to develop and pass without posing a risk to others.
