Cape Girardeau air service to change from Nashville to Chicago

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Travelers will now be able to fly from Cape Girardeau to Chicago.

The introduction of this route marks a significant milestone for both Contour Airlines and Cape Girardeau Regional Airport, enhancing regional connectivity and supporting local economic growth. With multiple weekly flights, passengers can now enjoy seamless travel domestically and internationally.

Travelers will now be able to fly from Cape Girardeau to Chicago. Contour Airlines currently fly to Nashville from Cape Girardeau.

The Cape Girardeau Regional Airport will launch a new service route connecting CGI to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) starting October 1.

The new service will operate out of the new Cape Girardeau Regional Airport Passenger Terminal Building.

There will be 12 weekly round-trips. (*Schedule subject to change.)

  • Departures – CGI to ORD: 8:40 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.
  • Returns – ORD to CGI: 11:25 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“We are thrilled to bring Chicago O’Hare back to our passengers,” said Katrina Amos, manager for the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. “This route will provide valuable connectivity for business and leisure travelers, making it easier than ever to travel between Chicago and Cape Girardeau.”

Passengers can expect comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, and friendly customer service on every flight.

“To resume service to Chicago at the same we are opening a new Passenger Terminal Building is perfect timing and we look forward to the positive impact it will bring.”

Flights to Nashville International Airport will conclude on September 30. Tickets for the new route are available for purchase now.
