Cape Girardeau police warn of credit card skimmers on gas pumps

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – There have been reports of credit card skimmers being placed on gas pumps in the area, according to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

Cape police posted these pictures on social media to alert everyone on what to look out for.

Officers say you should inspect the keyboard inlet where you insert your payment card.

If it pulls off or appears to have been tampered with, notify an employee of the business.

Deputies with the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Office are also investigating this issue in their area.
