Ellsinore woman faces abuse or neglect of a child charge after child dies

CARTER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – An Ellsinore woman faces a charge after the death of a child.

Tatiana S. Gardner is charged with abuse or neglect of a child, according to the Carter County Sheriff’s Office. No bond has been issued.

The Carter County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by medical personnel on February 3 about possible child neglect.

The sheriff’s office launched an investigation with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Investigation unit.

While investigators were conducting the investigation, it was reported that the child had died.

The investigation continues.
