Home dedication held for Mayfield tornado victims

MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) – Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear participated in home dedications for victims of the Mayfield tornado.
An EF4 tornado made impact on December 10, 2021. It was the deadliest December tornado outbreak on record with 89 reported deaths, according to the National Weather Service.
On Friday, Gov. Beshear came to Mayfield to help with home dedications.
A complex weather system produced 66 confirmed tornadoes through multiple states in the midwest and Ohio Valley.
It did more than $3 billion worth of damage.
One of my favorite moments during a home dedication is watching the kids run around, pick out their new room and decide where their favorite toys will go.
It’s an important reminder of why we won’t stop until each and every home – and life – is rebuilt. pic.twitter.com/3ISgPA109J
