JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe signed four bills into law Thursday, addressing issues including antisemitism in schools, cannabis regulation and regional governance in St. Louis.
One measure, House Bill 2061, adopts a definition of antisemitism for use in public schools and colleges and requires such incidents to be handled under existing anti-discrimination policies.
Another law, House Bill 2641, revises regulations on hemp-derived cannabinoid products, placing them under the state’s marijuana oversight framework and limiting sales by unlicensed entities.
House Bill 2934 restructures regional oversight in the St. Louis area by combining two existing boards into a single commission and allowing the creation of a special taxing district, pending voter approval.
Kehoe also signed House Bill 2423, which creates a new fund within the Division of Finance for consumer credit licensing fees.
The governor said the legislation is aimed at improving safety, oversight and economic development across the state.
