SPRINGFIELD, Mo., (KBSI) — The LemonDrop Foundation raised more than $75,000 during its sixth annual LemonDrop Long Drive event to support individuals and families affected by cancer.

The event, held April 11, featured more than 50 local and national sponsors and included 15 community participants competing in both long drive and fundraising efforts.

Nick Martin was the top fundraiser, followed by Dr. Seth Hudson and Amy McDonald. Organizers said participants collectively raised more than $20,000.

In the competition, Emily Obergoenner won the women’s main event, while Todd Obergoenner claimed the men’s title.

The foundation also recognized the late Jason Watson with the Gautier Family Patient Advocate Award for his contributions to the cancer community. Officials said a future grant will be established in his honor.

Funds raised will support the foundation’s ChemoPak program, which provides essential items to patients undergoing treatment. The organization said it plans to distribute between 400 and 500 ChemoPaks in 2026, along with additional direct financial assistance for patients.

More than 125 people attended the event, held at the TeeHouse Complex.

Foundation officials said the event will help expand support services for cancer patients across the region.
