Malfunctioning HVAC fills Dairy Queen in Fruitland with smoke
FRUITLAND, Mo. (KBSI) – Fire crews responded to a smoke filled Dairy Queen in Fruitland Thursday night.
The Fruitland Dairy Queen a HVAC malfunctioned and smoke filled the lobby area around 7:30 a.m., according to the Fruitland Area Fire Protection District.
Fruitland units responded and investigated the source.
The building was evaluated and a commercial 1st alarm was called out of precaution to ensure adequate resources were on the scene to investigate the cause.
The HVAC system was turned off. The building was ventilated and then turned over to the property owner.
Jackson Fire Rescue, Millersville Fire Department and the Gordonville Fire Protection District provided mutual aid.
