Marion, IL woman accused of aggravated battery to peace officer

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – A Marion, Illinois woman faces drug and aggravated battery to a peace officer charges after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop.
Deputies stopped a vehicle on North Market Street on February 25.
When the driver was informed of the reason for the stop, she immediately became argumentative, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
During the stop a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and deputies found drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office.
Alicia M. Klisnick of Marion was arrested, handcuffed and placed in the rear of a patrol vehicle.
As a deputy was escorting Klisnick to his patrol vehicle, she became irate and tried to pull away from the deputy multiple times, according to the sheriff’s office.
Once she was placed in the rear seat, she refused to put her feet inside of the patrol vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office. The deputy had to force her feet inside and as soon as he shut the door, Klisnick began kicking the rear passenger window, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies opened the rear passenger door to try to calm her down. Then she head-butted and kicked the deputy in the groin, according to the sheriff’s office.
Klisknick was cited for suspended vehicle registration, possession of adult use cannabis in motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and aggravated battery to a peace officer.
She was released to the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
