Patton man dies in crash in Bollinger County

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A Patton man died in a crash Monday night in Bollinger County.

A 17-year-old girl was driving a 2016 Ford F-350 on Route JJ when a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Robert L. McDaniel Jr., 42, of Patton crossed the center line and struck the pickup truck head-on, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

It happened at 10:10 p.m.

McDaniel was pronounced dead at the scene.

The teen driver was taken by private vehicle to a Cape Girardeau medical center with moderate injuries.

This is the 11th fatality in the Troop E district for 2023.
