ST. ROBERT, Mo., (KBSI) — A Dixon man was arrested Thursday after Pulaski County deputies allegedly discovered methamphetamine and fentanyl during a traffic stop in St. Robert.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a vehicle believed to be stolen in the area of Holy Cross Lane. Assisting with the stop was K-9 Snitch, a recently added Belgian Malinois assigned to the department.
Authorities said the K-9 alerted to the odor of narcotics during a free-air sniff of the vehicle. Deputies also located a glass pipe containing suspected drug residue near the vehicle.
Investigators said the vehicle’s occupant admitted illegal narcotics were inside the vehicle. A subsequent search led to the discovery of several baggies containing a crystal-like substance.
The driver, identified as Bradley Phillips of Dixon, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, attempted delivery of a controlled substance and driving while suspended.
The sheriff’s office said approximately 11.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine were seized. The substance was tested using the department’s Raman APEX 7 narcotics analyzer and returned positive results for methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Phillips was transported to the Pulaski County Justice Center and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
