Run for the Wall riders traveling through Mt. Vernon Tuesday

MT. VERNON, Ill., (KBSI) — Residents in Mt. Vernon should expect increased motorcycle traffic Tuesday morning as riders participating in Run for the Wall travel through the city.

City officials said riders are expected to arrive between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. Tuesday and will travel along Broadway/Route 15.

According to organizers, riders will stop to refuel at Huck’s near 34th Street and Broadway before regrouping and continuing in formation to the Mt. Vernon Airport for lunch.

Community members are encouraged to line the route and show support for the riders as they pass through the area.

Run for the Wall is an annual motorcycle ride honoring veterans and raising awareness for prisoners of war and those missing in action.
