The Friends of Saint Francis to hold annual golf tournament in August

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A golf tournament that benefits community efforts to feed children both regionally and locally will take place in Cape Girardeau in August.
The Friends of Saint Francis Golf Tournament will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Dalhousie Golf Club on Friday, August 16.
“Chipping Away at Hunger” is the theme for the annual four-person scramble.
Last year’s tournament raised more than $160,000. Funds were distributed by Saint Francis Foundation to food banks and feeding programs such as Clearwater Ministerial Alliance, Charleston Blue Jay Pantry, Tiger Bites Summer Feeding Program, Jefferson Backpack Program, Jackson R-2 Power Packs and more.
The morning tee time will be 7:30 a.m. The afternoon tee time is 1:30 p.m.
Breakfast, lunch, 18 holes of golf, green fees, cart, a polo shirt and more are included.
Prizes will be rewarded immediately following each flight with hole-in-one and team competition prizes available.
