MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Three people were arrested after a drug investigation led authorities to a public housing apartment in Mayfield, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for an apartment at 720 Conway Place following an investigation into the alleged sale of methamphetamine. The warrant was executed around 11 p.m. June 5.
Investigators said deputies located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia throughout the apartment. Three adults and a 12-year-old child were inside the residence at the time of the search.
Authorities arrested Mark A. Howard, 67, of Mayfield; Joshua S. Thorpe, 36, of Mayfield; and Christopher R. Howard, 30, of Humboldt, Tennessee.
Mark Howard and Thorpe were each charged with possession of methamphetamine, wanton endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Christopher Howard was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree wanton endangerment.
According to the sheriff’s office, the wanton endangerment charges stem from allegations that the child had access to illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the home.
All three suspects were taken to the Graves County Regional Correctional Center before being transferred to an out-of-county detention facility.
The Mayfield Police Department and Kentucky State Police assisted with the search warrant.
An arrest is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
