PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s Turning Point Recovery Community Center will host its fifth annual Recovery Walk on Saturday at Noble Park to raise awareness about substance use disorders and support recovery efforts in western Kentucky.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the large pavilion near the pool and is open to the public.
Presented by Oxford House, the Recovery Walk will feature recovery-focused organizations providing information about treatment options, recovery resources and harm reduction services.
Before the walk begins, community leaders and recovery advocates will speak about the importance of supporting individuals in recovery and reducing the stigma associated with addiction.
The event will also include food, prizes, fellowship opportunities and activities for children.
Nathan Brockett, program director at Turning Point, said the annual event continues to grow and helps connect people with resources while fostering community support for recovery.
Turning Point is part of Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s substance use disorder treatment and recovery services and operates recovery community centers in Paducah and Mayfield.
