Woman sentenced to nearly 2 decades in prison for role in murder
JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — A woman who pleaded guilty to crimes related to the 2022 murder of Jessi Wilfong has been sentenced to nearly two decades in prison.
Teresa Baumgartner was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in prison for first-degree kidnapping and four years for tampering with physical evidence.

Baumgartner was charged in connection with Wilfong’s death, whose body was found buried in a barn in Cape Girardeau County.
Lawrence Schanda, Wilfong’s uncle, was found guilty of her murder in January and sentenced to life in prison.
