Rain chance increased into Tuesday
Rain is likely through the next couple of days before we dry out and warm back up heading into the weekend.
For Tuesday, scattered showers are likely on and off throughout the day. The chance quickly tapers off after midnight.
Quite a bit of rain is possible, too. A half inch to an inch of rain is looking likely.
Above is what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing, duration, and location of the storms.
There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” in place for much of the KBSI viewing area for Tuesday. There is a level 2 “Slight Risk” on the very southwestern edge, as well. Timing for the severe weather chance will be Tuesday morning between 6am and noon.
There is a small risk for storms to spin up an isolated tornado. These would be short lived and on the weaker side of the scale.
Quarter size hail is possible in the brown shaded area with up to 1.5″ hail possible in the yellow shaded area.
Wind gusts around 60 to 65 mph will be possible, as well.
With the added cloud cover and rain, temperatures will be a little cooler than average.
Storms will once again be possible on Wednesday, then we dry out into the weekend. There’s a small storm chance on Mother’s Day!
