Woman facing drug charges after overdose death in Lone Oak

LONE OAK, Ky. (KBSI) – A woman faces drug charges after an overdose death in McCracken County.
Keyera Thomasson faces charges of aggravated trafficking in Fentanyl greater than 10 grams, trafficking in marijuana less than eight ounces and tampering with physical evidence.
McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 211 Jason Circle in the Lone Oak area of McCracken County for a drug overdose on October 17.
Deputies found a 23-year-old man dead inside the home.
Deputies spoke with the caller, Keyera Thomasson, who identified the man as her fiancée.
During the initial investigation, detectives responded to the home and collected evidence believed to be related to the overdose.
Detectives learned through their investigation that sometime after Thomasson found her fiancée dead, she concealed a large amount of Fentanyl pills (approximately 400), according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Thomasson then sold the pills later that same day (Oct. 17) on the parking lot of a McCracken County business, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives found Thomasson at her home in McCracken County on Oct. 23 arrested her.
Detectives also conducted a search of her apartment where additional drugs and money believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales were found, according to the sheriff’s office.
Thomasson was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
The Paducah Police Department assisted the sheriff’s office in the investigation.
