Southern Seven Health Department; Funding renewed for 2024 WOW Clinics
SOUTHERN Il. (KBSI)- The Southern Seven Health Department has renewed funding for its 2024 WOW (Wellness on Wheels) Health Screening Clinics.
With free services such as NARCAN training, Home Colon Cancer testing, Blood Pressure Screenings, medication disposal, and COVID test kits.
No appointments are needed, and walk-ins are welcome.
The program has been up and running for several years. Shawna Rhine with the Southern Seven Health Department says with each year, the program continues to progress for the future.
Rhine says, “We’ve had people come out and access services whether it be a flu shot, in the past they’ve been coming out and getting covid vaccinations, so it’s been an opportunity for them to do that rather easily.”
Free Narcan training is offered anytime.
Rhine adds, “So, we’re very excited to be able to do that, and giving people the opportunity to participate.”
