Paducah man facing wanton endangerment, criminal mishief charges

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah man faces wanton endangerment and criminal mischief charges after police say he shot at a car driving by.
Jamarion J. Foster, 19, of Trimble Street faces two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief.
Officers were called about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday to the intersection of Hampton and North 12th streets.
Witnesses said two young, black males dressed in black walked to the corner of Hampton and North 12th street and waited for a dark-colored Dodge to drive by.
When it did, police say they began shooting at the car, then ran to a red car parked on Hampton Street and left.
One witness provided a detailed description of the red vehicle, including the make and the fact that it had a “fin” or spoiler on the back.
Officers found numerous 9mm bullet casings in the middle of Hampton Street.
The victims, ages 17 and 18, called police when they got home. One of the teenagers said he was driving around the block to drop a friend off to meet a girl when they were shot at by two people dressed in black.
Officers say there were two ricochet marks on the roof of their car, a shattered driver side window and a bullet hole in the roof on the driver’s side.
One of the victims provided the name Jamarion Foster as a possible suspect. The victim told police that Foster sometimes drives a red or maroon Nissan Altima with a “fin” or spoiler on the back.
Detectives served a search warrant at Foster’s home Wednesday. They found a 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun, along with a rifle, ammunition and various firearm accessories.
Foster was arrested and booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
The investigation continues.
