Carbondale to host Black History Month dinner, discussion

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — The City of Carbondale will host a dinner and dialogue event on Feb. 18 to celebrate Black History Month and discuss health and well-being in the Black community.
The event, part of the Carbondale “At the Table” Dinner & Dialogue series, will take place at the Carbondale Civic Center.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the discussion will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Community partners and the Carbondale Branch NAACP will join the city for the discussion, which is free and open to the public. Registration is required due to limited seating.
The “At the Table” series, supported by Healing Illinois, aims to facilitate conversations on topics such as culture, racism and racial healing.
