Teenager arrested, charged with attempted murder in Mayfield shooting

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Kyler Ellis, 18, surrendered to the Mayfield Police Department on Feb. 27, 2025, in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in Mayfield the previous day.

Ellis, who was identified as a suspect in the investigation, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder, unlawfully providing/providing a minor with a handgun, unlawful transaction with a minor, and criminal mischief.

Additionally, a juvenile’s charges have been amended to include three counts of attempted murder, possession of a handgun by a minor, and discharging a firearm across a public road.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
