Portion of KY 453 in Livingston County closed due to collapsed culvert

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A portion of KY 453/Iuka Road in Livingston County has closed due to a collapsed box culvert.

The closure, which began Monday morning, is located southeast of Smithland, between KY 937/Cutoff Road and Cothron Road, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

The cabinet said it is unclear when the roadway will reopen.

Motorists can detour via KY 937/Cutoff Road, but semitrailers are prohibited from using this route.

The average daily traffic count for KY 453 is 1,335 vehicles.
