Carbondale woman charged with aggravated discharge of firearm after domestic dispute

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — A 43-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and other offenses after allegedly shooting at her partner during a domestic dispute.

Tiffani M. Baxter was arrested early Friday morning after officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of South Lark Lane.

According to police, Baxter and her partner were arguing when she fired shots at him, missing him.

Baxter was taken into custody without incident and charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm without a FOID, and theft.

She is being held in the Jackson County Jail pending a detention hearing.
