20 new cases of COVID-19 in Franklin, Williamson counties
MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – There are 20 new cases of COVID-19 in Franklin and Williamson counties, according to the Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department on October 13.
The newly confirmed cases by gender, age and county are as follows.
Franklin County
Females:
- 1 in their 70s
- 1 in her 80s
Males:
- 1 infant
- 1 teenager
- 1 in his 20s
- 2 in their 30s
Williamson County
Females:
- 1 under 10
- 1 teenager
- 2 in their 30s
- 1 in her 80s
Males:
- 1 under 10
- 1 teenager
- 1 in his 20s
- 3 in their 30s
- 1 in his 50s
COVID-19 numbers to date
Williamson County
- *12,148 laboratory confirmed positives
- 162* deaths
- 11,880* has recovered
Franklin County
- *7,390 laboratory confirmed positives
- 102* deaths
- 7,147* have recovered
These individuals are believed to have acquired the disease through either local contact with known cases, social gatherings, church settings, community events or through transmission in the community (i.e. unable to trace back to a known source). Public health officials will not be releasing more specific details about these individuals due to privacy issues.
