DUNKLIN Co., Mo., (KBSI) – According to a probable cause statement filed by Officer Matthew Rudd of the Hayti Police Department, officers were dispatched around 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 4, 2025, in reference to a reported stolen vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported that between approximately 9:30 and 10 p.m. he was awakened by a man identified as Blake Patrick.

The victim told officers that Patrick said he had forgotten an item inside the victim’s 2017 Nissan Frontier.

Because the truck was locked, the victim gave Patrick the vehicle key so he could retrieve the item, then went back to sleep.

The victim said he instructed Patrick to return the key to the table when he was finished.

When the victim woke around 3:30 a.m., both Patrick and the truck were gone. The victim said he attempted to call Patrick, but his calls went unanswered. He told officers he believed Patrick had stolen the vehicle.

The victim reported multiple items were inside the truck, including:

  • A 9mm pistol
  • A 12-gauge shotgun
  • Ammunition
  • His birth certificate
  • His Social Security card
  • A wallet containing credit and bank cards
  • Various tools
  • An air compressor
  • A car jack
  • A battery starter
  • A military-issued knife

The 2017 Nissan Frontier was entered into NCIC and MULES as a stolen vehicle.

Later that same day, officers located Patrick in Harrisburg, Arkansas, where he was found in possession of the stolen truck. All property except the two firearms was recovered. The vehicle is valued at approximately $17,000.

Patrick was taken into custody by the Harrisburg Police Department. According to the statement, Patrick has multiple residences in several states and is considered a possible suspect in an ongoing missing-person investigation involving an 18-year-old.

A criminal history check showed no prior record, though an active order of protection from Perry County, Missouri, was noted.

Officer Rudd certified that the information in the statement is true to the best of his knowledge, acknowledging that false statements are punishable by law.
