JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — Community organizations in Jackson are hosting a supply drive throughout March to support the Safe House of Southeast Missouri during Women’s History Month.

The donation drive, organized by the Uptown Jackson Revitalization Organization, the City of Jackson and Ignite CAPS–Jackson R-2, is collecting essential items for women and children seeking safety from domestic violence.

Donations can be dropped off at Jackson City Hall, 101 Court St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through March 27. Officials ask that donations not be placed in the drive-through.

Organizers said items should be new and unopened and may include personal care products such as shampoo, deodorant and toothpaste; baby supplies including diapers, wipes and formula; household necessities such as laundry detergent, paper towels and trash bags; clothing essentials like socks, underwear and T-shirts; and nonperishable snacks.

Officials said the drive aims to help provide safety, dignity and stability for families transitioning into safe housing in southeast Missouri. Community partners said the donations help keep the shelter stocked with needed supplies throughout the year.
