JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KBSI) — Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway announced that an unlicensed St. Louis business will cease operations and destroy its products following a lawsuit over the sale of illegal THC items marketed to minors.
Hanaway said Pressure STL agreed to halt operations in Missouri and dispose of all intoxicating cannabinoid products after the state filed suit in February. The lawsuit alleged the company was selling marijuana outside of Missouri’s regulated system and marketing products designed to resemble popular candy and snack brands.
State officials said Missouri law requires cannabis products to meet safety testing standards, regulatory oversight and age-verification requirements.
The agreement, approved by a court, requires the business to stop sales and remove the products from circulation.
Hanaway also warned consumers about purchasing cannabis products from unlicensed retailers, citing concerns about safety, labeling and potential contaminants. The investigation into illegal cannabis sales in Missouri remains ongoing, officials said.
