Power restored to 2,400 in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – About 2,400 customers lost power in Cape Girardeau Friday morning.

A switch failed on a line causing the loss of power around 10 a.m., according to Ameren Missouri.

Crews working to restore power expected it to be restored by noon Friday.

According to Ameren Missouri’s outage map, the outages are mostly between Route 74 and Broadway Street in Cape.

The outage map did not report any outages in the area at 2:25 p.m.
