Resident escapes early morning house fire in Poplar Bluff

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — A resident escaped safely from a house fire early Sunday, according to the Poplar Bluff Professional Firefighters Local 2543.
The Poplar Bluff Fire Department was dispatched around 1:48 a.m. and arrived within four minutes.
Firefighters encountered flames coming from the rear of the home and extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and extent of the damage were not immediately available.
