Cape Girardeau Regional Airport gets grant money for marketing

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI)- On Monday, the Cape City Council approved for the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport to receive new funding in the form of a grant.

The approval allows the City Manager to come to a grant agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
Airport Director, Katrina Amos says the airport tries to get their hands on any grant available to them to help the airport become more and more productive.
Amos says, “Our budget is kind of, we’re limited in what we can do, so anytime the state has this opportunity we can apply for grant funds to promote the airport.”
The grant will fund air service promotion and marketing for the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.
