Cape Girardeau Jaycees accepting donations for Toybox Program

CAPE GIRARDEAU Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau Jaycees are collecting donations of toys and funds for their annual Toybox Program.
The program is designed to provide gifts for children in need for the holiday season, and gifts are tailored to each child’s wish list.
Twenty-six vans will be deployed with volunteers dressed as Santa Claus to deliver toys directly to each household.
The program reaches more than 1,200 local children every year with each child receiving five gifts depending on age and requests.
Donations will be accepted through December 18 and delivery is set for December 19.
