Jury selection begins in Sikeston murder trial

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Jury selection began Monday in the trial of a Sikeston man charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with the death of a 49-year-old woman.

Fabayan Larry, charged in September 2023, is accused of killing Carolyn Hann, whose body was found in her home in the 100 block of Broadway.

According to investigators, Hann suffered stab wounds, blunt force trauma and suffocation from tape wrapped around her head.

Larry was arrested on a warrant in Cape Girardeau. His trial is expected to last all week.
