Saint Francis Healthcare partners with Jackson R-2 on IGNITE Program

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Saint Francis Healthcare System has launched the IGNITE Program, a profession-based learning initiative developed in partnership with Jackson R-2 High School.

The program, part of the nationally recognized Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) network, provides high school juniors and seniors with hands-on experience in diverse career paths, including education, business and healthcare.

Thirty-three students were selected for the 2025-2026 school year. Participants will combine classroom instruction with real-world clinical experience at Saint Francis, guided by both a classroom teacher and Saint Francis clinical professionals.

“Saint Francis is committed to growing the next generation of healthcare professionals,” said Justin Davison, President and CEO of Saint Francis Healthcare System. “This partnership provides students with meaningful, hands-on experiences that prepare them for bright futures and strengthen the healthcare pipeline for our region.”
