MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — A Calloway County woman was arrested Thursday after deputies said she was driving under the influence when her minivan rear-ended a truck on KY 80 East.

The crash happened about 4:15 p.m. Sept. 25 near the intersection of KY 940, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said Seth Arnett, 30, of Mayfield, was stopped in the left turn lane in a 2019 Ford F-250 when he was struck from behind by a 2020 Chrysler minivan driven by Trisia Miller, 37.

The impact pushed Arnett’s truck across both lanes of traffic before it came to rest in the eastbound lane. Miller was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with possible minor injuries.

Deputies said field sobriety tests showed Miller was under the influence of alcohol. After being cleared at the hospital, she was arrested and later taken to an out-of-county facility.

Arnett and his two children, ages 1 and 3, were not injured. Deputies said all occupants were properly restrained.

Miller is charged with DUI third offense with aggravating circumstances, three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, driving on a suspended license and other traffic offenses.

Chief Deputy Jeremy Prince investigated the crash with assistance from Deputies Greg Sloan and Larry Jones, along with Mayfield/Graves County EMS.
