25 troopers graduate from Missouri State Highway Patrol academy

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri State Highway Patrol graduated 25 new troopers from its Law Enforcement Academy on Friday, Dec. 19, Patrol officials announced.
The ceremony was held at 10 a.m. at the Patrol Academy gymnasium. Members of the 124th Recruit Class reported to the academy July 1 and completed 25 weeks of training. The new troopers will report to their assigned troops on Jan. 5, 2026.
Missouri Supreme Court Judge Robin Ransom administered the oath of office. Lt. Gov. David Wasinger delivered the keynote address, and Patrol Superintendent Col. Michael A. Turner also addressed the class.
The Troop F Color Guard presented the colors, Sgt. Andrew A. Henry performed the national anthem, and Pastor Ken Harland of Clover Road Christian Church gave the invocation and benediction.
Four awards were presented based on cumulative points earned in physical fitness, firearms and academics. Trooper Blake T. Cook received the Physical Fitness Award, Trooper Miles A. Hayden received the Firearms Trophy, and Trooper Tyler S. Lutjen received the Academics Award. The Colonel C. E. “Mel” Fisher Superintendent’s Award, presented to the recruit with the highest overall score, was awarded to Trooper Jordan N. Schafer.
The graduates will be assigned to patrol duties across the state in Troops A through I, serving counties that include Cass, Randolph, Monroe, St. Francois, St. Louis, Webster, Stoddard, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Cooper, Howard, Douglas, Ozark, Grundy, Mercer, Livingston and Pulaski, among others.
