Juvenile taken into custody after reported weapon incident

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A juvenile was taken into custody after allegedly pointing a firearm at another juvenile during an altercation Monday night, police said.

Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to the 0-100 block of West End Boulevard for a reported weapons violation. Cape Girardeau police said a parent reported their child had been involved in a dispute with another juvenile.

According to police, the suspect retrieved a firearm and pointed it at the other juvenile during the incident.

The suspect was later located along with the firearm and was turned over to juvenile authorities.
