EDDYVILLE, Ky., (KBSI) — Venture River Water Park announced plans for a new family attraction opening during the 2026 summer season.
The attraction, called Kupuna River, is scheduled to open May 23 and will feature a winding river experience designed for guests of all ages.
According to the park, the attraction spans more than 16,000 square feet and will allow riders to choose between a relaxing float experience or a faster-paced section of the river.
Park officials said Kupuna River will include a zero-depth entry, a 38-inch water depth and no height restrictions to create an accessible experience for families.
“Kupuna River is going to bring an entirely new level of fun and adventure to Venture River,” Venture River Manager and Co-Owner Andrea York said in a statement.
Venture River Water Park has operated in western Kentucky since 1994 and attracts visitors from several surrounding states, including Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois and Indiana.
Officials said the addition of Kupuna River is part of the park’s continued investment in tourism and family entertainment in western Kentucky.
