Cape Girardeau man charged with domestic assault, weapon offense after early morning incident

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — A Cape Girardeau man faces multiple felony charges after officers responded to a disturbance early Friday morning in the 2100 block of Sherwood.

Police said officers responded around 4 a.m. and later arrested 57-year-old Scott Alan Johnson of Cape Girardeau.

According to the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Johnson has been charged with second-degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities said Johnson is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
