SEDALIA, Mo., (KBSI) — The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales will return to the Missouri State Fair in August as part of a partnership between Anheuser-Busch and County Distributing.
Fair officials announced the iconic horses will appear during the 2026 Missouri State Fair, scheduled for Aug. 13-23 in Sedalia.
The Clydesdales will be housed near the Mathewson Exhibition Center and will be harnessed to the historic Budweiser beer wagon for appearances and parades throughout the fairgrounds. A detailed schedule will be released closer to the event.
The Budweiser Clydesdales have served as a symbol of Anheuser-Busch since 1933, when the horses were presented to company leader August A. Busch Sr. to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition.
Today, the horses travel nationwide, appearing at fairs, festivals, sporting events and other public gatherings. The Clydesdales have also participated in two presidential inaugural parades.
The traveling hitches are based at Anheuser-Busch’s St. Louis brewery, while the company’s breeding operation is located at Warm Springs Ranch near Boonville, Missouri.
