More than 150 new COVID-19 positives in Saline, Gallatin, White counties

ELDORADO, Ill. (KBSI) – More than 150 southeastern Illinois residents recently tested positive for COVID -19.
The Egyptian Health Department was notified Jan. 11 of 152 residents who have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). There have been a total of 10,881 COVID-10 cases to date in Saline, Gallatin and White counties. There have been a total of 123 deaths from COVID-19 to date in the three counties.
Saline County
91 new COVID-19 cases
Females:
- 2 under the age of 10
- 8 in their teens
- 4 in their 20s
- 9 in their 30s
- 6 in their 40s
- 8 in their 50s
- 3 in their 60s
- 7 in their 70s
- 1 in her 80s
- 3 in their 90s
- 1 over the age of 100
- 2 demographics unknown – case status in progress
Males:
- 5 under the age of 10
- 10 in their teens
- 7 in their 20s
- 4 in their 30s

Gallatin County
14 new COVID-19 cases

47 new COVID-19 cases

- 1,123 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19
- 10 deaths
The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, residents are asked to answer their phones. Contact Tracers may be calling to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results.

The Illinois Department of Public Health announced that Illinois has had a total of 2,488,380 confirmed cases and 28,660 deaths in Illinois.
