Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site hosting Children’s Day event

NEW MADRID, Mo., (KBSI) – Children and families are invited to attend a Children’s Day event May 16 at Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site.
The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature hands-on activities inspired by the 1860s, including candle dipping, corn shuck doll making, historic games and washing clothes on a washboard.
Organizers said the event is open to children of all ages and anyone interested in experiencing historical activities and crafts.
