CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — Max Media and River Radio announced the launch of “Road to 250,” a multi-market multimedia campaign celebrating America’s history ahead of the nation’s 250th birthday.
The campaign begins May 23 and runs through July 4, featuring five daily “American Story” segments broadcast for 43 consecutive days across participating radio stations.
Organizers said the initiative will deliver more than 4,300 broadcasts across 20 radio stations, along with podcasts, websites, social media content and community engagement efforts.
According to the companies, the campaign will highlight stories focused on American history, culture, innovation, resilience and defining moments leading up to the nation’s semi quincentennial celebration.
“This is more than a history feature,” Sean Rhoads, executive vice president of sales for Max Media, said in a statement. “It’s a celebration of the American spirit.”
Participating stations include several River Radio stations in southeast Missouri and southern Illinois, including K103, Real Rock 99.3, SEMO ESPN, Z100, NewsRadio WJPF and others.
Listeners will also be able to stream stories through the “Road to 250” podcast and digital platforms throughout the campaign.
