SEDALIA, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri State Fair has announced the lineup of events for the new Governor Michael L. Parson Arena during the 2026 fair.
Construction on the indoor arena is underway and expected to be completed in July 2026, just ahead of the fair. Officials said the facility will host a variety of events during the fair and throughout the year.
The arena’s schedule will include rodeo performances, military exhibits, animal races, jousting and bull riding. Officials said children age 5 and younger will be admitted free to all arena events, though tickets will be required for select performances and do not include fair gate admission.
Events will begin Aug. 13 with an opening ceremony, ribbon-cutting and plaza dedication. Additional highlights include multiple nights of rodeo, a military appreciation day, animal races, a jousting show and professional bull riding competitions.
Tickets for arena events will go on sale May 19.
Officials said updates on construction progress will be available through a live camera on the fair’s website.
