A Paducah man was killed and another driver seriously injured in a head-on crash early May 1 in McCracken County, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 5:25 a.m. to the 9800 block of Blandville Road for a two-vehicle collision.

Investigators said Christopher Martin, 47, of Kevil, Kentucky, was driving a 2013 Jeep Cherokee eastbound, while Kameron Bristoe, 35, of Paducah, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Impala westbound. The vehicles collided head-on in the eastbound lane.

Bristoe was pronounced dead at the scene by McCracken County Coroner Amanda Melton. Martin was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to an out-of-state facility for treatment of serious injuries.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including Mercy Regional Ambulance, several fire departments and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Officials asked the public to keep Bristoe’s family and the Concord Fire Department in their thoughts.
