Scott County Sheriff’s Office, County Commission to move sheriff’s office

BENTON, Mo. (KBSI) – The hearing between the Scott County Commission and the Scott County Sheriff’s Department took place Friday at 9 a.m.

Sheriff Wes Drury and his legal counsel Daniel Moore arrived nearly 25 minutes after the scheduled time.

The motion for the trial was filed on result of the Scott County Commission to have the Sheriff’s Department evacuated and moved above the Scott County Jail.

The sheriff’s department legal counsel wanted more evidence to be displayed in addition to the trial.

The hearing resumed at 10:33 a.m. and Judge Reeves announced counsel made a decision.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Department is to vacate the current residency within 45 days to find a new building to occupy.
